TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Products: 1. StyroTrim® FL1, FL2 & FO1 baseboards mouldings. 2. StyroTrim® WL1 & WO1 chair rails. These mouldings are made specifically for StyroTrim® in Belgium by NMC America, Inc, 7000 Central Parkway, Suite 1501, Atlanta, GA 30328. Constituent material: Extruded high density polymer; fine and closed-cell, white, homogeneous foam. Density: 1. Approx. 21.8 pounds/cu ft (350 kg/m3). 2. Approx. 18.7 pounds/cu ft (300 kg/m3) 2. SPECIFIC PROPERTIES Visible surfaces: Perfectly smooth surface with clean ends, coated in a white acrylic primer paint. Gluing surfaces: Resistant surfaces with clean ends. Grooved on the back for better adhesion to the glue. Dimensions: 1. Length 8ft (2.44 m). 2. Length 8ft (2. 44 m). 3. USE Fitting and storage conditions: For the best result, the product will be fitted and stored in conditions close to those of final use (similar temperature and humidity). Fitting on a wet backing surface (fresh plaster) and in forced drying conditions (heat gun, dehumidifier, exceptionally high temperature) are to be ruled out. Backing: The following backing surfaces are suitable: drywall, indoor plastered surfaces, coated plaster, cement, wood, etc. Surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dust, degreased and flat; rough down if necessary. If the product is to be applied to particular backing surfaces, please consult our technical department. Adhesive and joints: StyroTrim® Adhesive FW. The optimum thickness of the glue is 1/8" (3.175 mm). Apply glue to the whole of the joints and surfaces to be glued. Leave a 1/8" (3.175 mm) joint filled with adhesive at each join. Like any adhesive, the adhesive compound is not used below 46°F (8°C), above 86°F (30°C) or in strong direct sunshine. Surface work: StyroTrim® baseboards and chair rails can be painted, without any problem, with solvent-free paints (e.g.: dispersion paints, acrylic lacquers, etc.) If, however, you wish to apply a solvent paint, it is advisable to test it. 4. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS Regulations concerning dangerous substances: StyroTrim® high density polymer products are to be classified neither under "very toxic" nor under "toxic", according to the regulations concerning dangerous substances. Environmental protection: All StyroTrim® products are free from solvents, C.F.C. and their manufacturing process respects the environment. Important notes: The elements are strictly decorative to the exclusion of any structural function; they are not designed to withstand loads and should be isolated by flexible joints from elements likely to convey strains or movements. These products are flexible. However, excessive pressure may cause the product to snap. Please note that a break may lead to the projection of debris.
